again with the moving

This is the final post from my previous blog, Mother Bird:

No, I am not yet moving to a permanent South Carolina home (how I wish).  No, I'm making a move I've been contemplating for a long time.  See, years ago I started Children's Fashion Workshop (maybe you've heard me talk about it before?  No?) as a place to explore and share patternmaking and sewing.  But over those years, I've discovered that I simply don't have enough interest or time or, shall I face it, dedication to run a complete site just on how much sewing I do.  I still do sew, make patterns, and enjoy it writing and posting about it, but it seemed silly to run this site and that site as though I were two people.

So I'm putting them together, and changing the name of my site.  It'll have a new location, but all the previous posts from the last 7 (!) years will be there waiting for us, so that our new place doesn't feel all echo-ey and empty.  New posts will probably still remain a bit sparse until we move into our new home here in SC, which will be after we sell our property in California (anybody need a beautiful family home in breathtaking northern San Diego County?) Also, I'm still fiddling with the layout over there, so if there's anything here that you love but miss seeing over there, let me know.

And, well, there are pictures of my baby girl over there today, so of course you'll want to hurry on over.  ewatsonhowe.com.  See you there!
